‘President Buhari deserves a second term’ – Patrick Obahiagbon

Speaking as a guest on a Channels Television show on Friday, former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, reacted to open letter written by the former President Olusegun Obasanjo and also joined those campaigning and asking President Buhari to run for second term.

According to Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon who disagreed with some of the points raised by Obasanjo in his letter, the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration has performed well enough to deserve a second term.

The former Lawmaker who scored President Buhari high however, said the APC administration has not achieved all promised, saying it is not 'eureka yet.'

"It is certainly not Eureka yet. But, the truth of the matter is that, given where we are coming from, this government has tried. We were in the cause of economic comatose and from the quagmire of recession, the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has been able to remove the economy from the jugulars of recession and has breathed vital life into Nigeria's economy."

He said further that President Buhari and the APC government has discharged their constitutional mandate "in such a way and manner that they deserve a second term outing" he said.

Recall that we reported The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Bola Tinubu, in an interview he granted journalists when he visited Governor Rochas Okorocha alongside pioneer National Chairman of APC, Bisi Akande, at the Government House Owerri, on Friday, also reacted to former President Obasanjo's open letter to Tinubu.

Recall that in his letter, former President Obasanjo told President Buhari to dump his second term ambition and retire to his hometown in Daura, Katsina State.
Tinubu who disclosed that this is not the appropriate time to speak on the Coalition for Nigeria inaugurated by the former President, however he claimed that Obasanjo was "playing politics with the public letter".
