Boko Haram attacks 2 communities in Adamawa

Boko Haram terrorists have attacked two communities in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State that resulted in a gun battle between them and security operatives.

According to Premium Times, the attacks carried out on Wednesday, November 15 on Sabon Gari and Kafin Hausa forced residents to flee.

Adamu Kamale who is representing Madagali, Michika in the House of Representatives confirmed the attack saying it lasted for two hours.

He said many houses were burnt as the terrorists looted the village.

"They were rampaging as they (Boko Haram) continued to attack our villages.

"I had a distress call that they have again launch night attack at Sabon Gari and Kafin Hausa villages and as I am talking to you now Nigerian troops have engaged them in a fierce battle."

Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla of Adamawa also confirmed the attack but sad the terrorists were repelled by security operatives.

He said: "There was a fierce battle that lasted for an hour; but praise be to Allah, an attack launched by fleeing Boko Haram terrorists on Sabon Gari and the other village in Madagali Local Government Area was repelled by a combine force of soldiers, mobile police, hunters and vigilantes.

"Security are on top of the situation now."
